Any time you start a new project there is a big learning curve. Sometimes it feels like that old adage "You can't teach an old dog new tricks" but that depends on how smart the ol dog is! Or just maybe how determined he is.
This is the first idea I had for making banners. That was almost 20 years ago. I had no idea what I was doing nor the meaning of what I was doing.
Back then I don't think there was any such thing as a blog, maybe there was but I did not know about it. At the time I made this banner I did not fully understand a lot about its meaning or the meaning of banners. But life is interesting and the older you get the more you learn.
Tuesday was Pentecost this week and this was truly the meaning of this banner. The two loaves of bread are symbols of the wave offering of Pentecost which was a feast to celebrate the end of the harvest season. Don't you love that our Savior wanted a name associated with the harvest. Of course we know when the scriptures say, "Cry out to the Lord of the Harvest" the harvest we need to bring in is a harvest of hungry souls for the kingdom. So much can be learned from understanding the feast of the old testament.
Life is full of new adventures. And this blog is also one of those adventures.
